Welcome to the final section on this Inspiring Employment ecourse. This is all about self employment. For a lot of disabled people being in full time, or even part-time work if you have a fluctuating condition can be quite difficult. So to be your own boss, work on your own time, manage your own workload, this could be a very good opportunity to still be in employment and be able to cater to your needs as well. I am outside the BBC at the moment as literally 6 months ago I went into self employment. If we look back at the other modules, I was in volunteering, I had the job hunt, I started working and I progressed through a career, but in the long run my health was more important. So I have gone out on my own doing the ecourses, the webinars and running my blog as part of my self employed life. As part of that I have been lucky enough to work with the BBC. I can’t sit here today to you and say if you go into self employment you’re going to land a job at the BBC or something similar, but what I can say is I have never been happier, never been healthier, and some of the opportunities that have come my way have been amazing. So for me I would recommend self employment as an option to certainly explore as it could be the answer to the other problems you experience in employment. Thank you.
