– Oh I hate them.
(screaming, shrieking) (upbeat, lighthearted music) So about a month ago I
made a reaction video to the “Lost In Space” trailer that debuted at New York Comic-Con. I didn’t sleep in preparation for about 48 hours because I just wanted to get the trailer as soon as possible. (crying)
(intense Sci-Fi music) Even before I went to
sleep after I posted it the “Lost In Space” account
had tweeted about it. So I got on a Skype call
with this guy from Netflix, and that I would get on a flight to D.C. to celebrate this fandom stuff and meet other fans of other Netflix shows. They said I could invite someone, like a family member or a friend. I decided on Sam instead
of bringing my parents. I got her into “Lost In Space” pretty quickly after I watched it so it was a no-brainer to invite her. It took three flights to get from where I live in Australia to here. (exclaiming) This place is way too nice for me. My mother said when this happened that it probably wasn’t going
to be anything too serious. She was shocked it was going to be a documentary about super fans. The joke is on her
(laughing) after all of that! This is wild. I was really nervous about the interview. I’m sitting there–
– All right cool, I’m just gonna, I’m gonna
get another light for you. – And someone needs to
come in to fix the light or add more light, someone comes in and she’s kind of struggling with it. – Thank you so much, sorry. – And she’s wearing
glasses, but she looked a bit familiar but I
didn’t really click on. I was like, “She’s just
a light girl, it’s fine, “I’ll just let her do her thing. “I don’t know much about it.” And then she takes her
glasses off, and I screamed. – Sorry, I don’t usually do lights. – Oh my God!
– Hi! – Are you kidding me? Oh my God, I’m gonna cry! That’s why she’s familiar,
it’s Mina in my face suddenly. – Hi! Get in on the hug, are you kidding me? – She’s a fan as well. – Hi! I know you haven’t been to D.C. before. I was wondering if you wanted to go out a little bit today–
– Duh, lets do it! – and see a couple of
the D.C., do we wanna go? – So we went to the
monument and we’re walking, taking photos, some really
great ones actually. I’m asking her a million questions, and she’s giving us some non
spoiler-y answers, unfortunately. I try to get the T. Will the robot reunite with the Robinsons within the first five episodes? – We will see the robot, not necessarily in the way that we saw him
at the end of last season. – I need spoilers to live, to be honest. I really wish I had gotten something. So then we walked from
the Lincoln Memorial down to the Washington
Monument to take a picture. We’re told to shout,
“Danger Will Robinson! – [Photographer] Three, two, one. – And as I do, someone else comes to my left and screams it. – [Group] Danger Will Robinson! (shouting, shrieking) – Oh my God, what? – And it was Ignacio,
I didn’t expect that. I thought Mina was it. – What are you doing here? – I’m just takin’ a picture. – [Mina] This is crazy! – You said there wouldn’t
be any more surprises! (all laughing) When I asked them if
they believed in aliens I was really happy that they had the exact same opinions that I did. Do you believe in aliens? – Ooh, yes, 100% The idea that we’re the only people in the universe, it’s ridiculous. – Correct answer. – I think I’m alien, for sure. – Definitely.
– Wouldn’t you? – Have you seen the way he walks? – I was told there would be
no more surprises after Mina. So after Ignacio I asked the crew whether there would be more surprises
and to please tell me because I could not take much more, and they promised me that there
would be no more surprises, that it was just lunch
and then we would continue the interview in the hotel room. – You just stop lying, you’re
just lying to us so much. – [Crew Member] You can take a breather. – Is there anyone else?
– No no no no. – Okay. So that was a lie.
(laughing) So we leave the National Mall and they point me to get into a car. – Oh am I getting in first?
– Yeah. – Someone’s in the back
seat with a newspaper. Who is this? Oh my God, stop it! (laughing) It was Max!
– You can come over here. – Are you reading a
newspaper like an old man? – Yeah you know me, I just
got that old man attitude. (girls laughing)
– Oh my God. – All right, so in all seriousness, I have a secret message for you, from someone who I think you’ll recognize. – Oh my God, okay. – It’s really important though. – Okay. (Gracie gasping) – Okay, it’s Taylor Russell, and I am gonna be watching
Gracie’s reaction video to the “Lost In Space” season two trailer. – Oh my God. The robot’s a hoodlum now,
the robot’s (gasping). (all laughing)
It’s embarrassing! It was really surreal to see her react to my reaction to the trailer. I’d love her to react to my reaction to her reaction to my reaction,
that would be awesome. I could not stop crying,
and she was the one that broke the news that I
was going to the premiere. – Shut your mouth!
– Okay, so you’ll be able to see it before a
lot of other people will. – I’m gonna be an irrational
mess after all of this, all the plot twists!
(laughing) – Well I’ll see you guys tomorrow! – Okay!
– All right! – Bye, it was so nice to meet you guys! – You too! (triumphant, orchestral music) If I had to gauge my excitement
level for this premier it would be a thousand, for sure. Normally I would just
be preparing at my house in my pajamas to sit down
and not move for 14 hours, but instead I’m here
getting my make up done. No I’ve never been to a premier. I live in the outback in Australia! – I’ve been friends with
her for three years, and I know how much time and dedication she puts in to just being a fan of shows, and never to get anything back in return, so to finally be invited
to a premier of that show? It’s so incredible. (upbeat hip hop music) Don’t look now!
(Gracie gasping) Look how tall he is!
– Oh I’m gonna cry! Sam and I were taken to a greenroom. Okay, I think I’m gonna cry, but hi! They were so sweet, kind
of crazy to be having a conversation with these people that I’ve seen on a screen so many times. – Are we gonna take you out? – Yeah, let’s go and see some more people. – Molly and Toby introduced
me to one of the writers. Thank you for writing the best show ever! – Oh that’s nice of you to say! – I met Zack, the show runner,
and that was really fun because he was one of the first people to reach out to me after I
posted the reaction video. – Well it means so much
to us to have people who love the show as much
as we love to make it and so that’s just why we
wanted to celebrate you. That’s why we do it after all. – Parker Posey is nothing
like her character, I am pleased to inform everyone. She’s so sweet and so easy to talk to. I feel like I had the longest conversation with her, actually. I love you, your character
drives me a bit crazy. – My nephew Rowan, he was
like, “What is she doing?” and you know, threw the
remote control down, and I’m related to you. – So the premier was of the first episode of the second season. I’m actually sad I’m gonna have to watch the rest of the season
on my laptop. (laughing) It’s fun, it takes
itself not too seriously but it’s also dramatic and it’s funny. Season two, the scope is so
much bigger than season one and you can tell in
the very first episode. I will have trust issues for the rest of my life after this weekend. It was amazing, all the
surprises were crazy, and I don’t think it will
ever get better than this. I think this is my peak. – [Interviewer] What’s
your opinion on surprises? – Oh I hate them, they drive me crazy. (metallic pounding, rumbling)
– Whoa, what was that? – Are you kidding me?
– Can you get the door? – (laughing, crying) Stop! – Room service! (futuristic electronic music) – Oh my God, really? Why’s he so tall? – [Interviewer] The robot
brought you something here. – Oh breakfast, awesome! (laughing)
Thanks. Oh my God! (furniture toppling)
(Gracie laughing) Yeah! (choir intoning) You guys are liars! (upbeat, lighthearted music)
