A Day in the Life of Our Field Service Engineer in Singapore | Schneider Electric


I’m Azreel from Schneider Electric Singapore
Field Services, and I am a senior engineer in the department. It’s about close to midnight right now, and
this is when we usually start work. My maintenance work for today is actually
to inspect on aging equipment for any damaged parts, which may cause downtime
in the future. It is also part of our routine safety checks
on the equipment. Mr Lim! Hi Mr Lim, I have conducted a physical inspection
on your equipment. There are a few things that I would like to
point out to you. As you can see, there are some burnt marks
on the bolt in here. The other one is okay, but for this one it’s
quite bad. What you have here is an aging equipment that
is going to be obsolete soon. What I would suggest is to replace the entire
equipment. Mr Lim: Okay, that sounds bad. I think this
will be very costly, and I cannot afford a long downtime… What do you suggest? Azreel: We have something called an EcoFit

and odd hours, I am happy that we still managed to put safety
as a priority when we work on our customers’ premises. Upon completion of such projects, customers
would come up to me and say: “Thank you, we appreciate what you’ve
done for us.” This puts a smile on my face.
